Miss Pat is a 3rd degree black belt with nine years of experience. A proud mother of 2, Miss Pat attended CSU before becoming an flight attendant for United Airlines.
Master Daniel Levinson
Master Dan has been a student at J. W. Kim Taekwondo for over 16 years. He spent 5 years serving in the U. S. Marine Corps where he was deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, Cube, Egypt, and Jordan. He was honorably discharged in December 2013. Master Dan has a B.A. in Design and Technical Graphics and graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Art Institute of Colorado.
Master Matt Cottingham
Master Matt is a 6th degree candidate and winner of numerous Taekwondo championships. Master Matt has over 17 years of experience in Taekwondo. He currently heads instruction of the HRCA Taekwondo program. In addition to Taekwondo, Master Matt also studies Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Master Cody Silverman
Master Cody is a 5th degree candidate. He has been studying Taekwondo for 20 years. Master Cody has won numerous state and national titles.
Master Nina Barber
Master Nina is a 4th degree black belt and has been studying Taekwondo for 14 years. She earned her B. A. in Spanish from the University of Arizona and her Masters of Education from the University of Colorado at Denver. She currently teaches Spanish at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver. She also has a son who is a 4th degree black belt.
Master Marsha Shaw
Master Shaw is a 6th degree black belt. Master Shaw has a B.A. from the University of Washington and is very active with skiing, playing bridge, and traveling.
Master Mike Schultz
Master Mike is a 6th degree candidate and is the Head Instructor and manager of the Denver Tech Center location. He has been with Grandmaster Kim for 20 years and has over 27 years' total Taekwondo experience. He was a member of the Colorado State Demonstration Team in 1998 and 1999. Master Mike has a B.A. in Psychology and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is also a Black Belt Foundation board member.
Our head instructors are responsible for the training and growth of all our students. They are all high-ranking black belts with years of experience working with children and adults, and it is their goal to make Taekwondo a fun and worthwhile experience for all.
